1920: The Greeks defeated Turkish forces at Alashehir during the first Greek offensive of the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922)

1925: Officers loyal to Theodoros Pangalos staged a coup. For the next two years, Pangalos ruled Greece by decree.

1949: Prime Minister Themistoklis Sofoulis died in office. He was succeeded by Alexandros Diomedes.

Ifigeneia Giannopoulou (1964 – June 24, 2004) was a Greek songwriter. She also wrote books for children. Giannopoulou worked with great names of Greek music. She died suddenly as a result of suspected allergic reaction.
