Greece assumed the presidency of the OECD meeting on tourism and policies for sustainable development to will be held in October 2017 in Paris.
It is the first time that Greece assumes the presidency of an OECD meeting on tourism and it is part of the efforts made to upgrade Greece’s international presence.
OECD secretary general Angel Gurria congratulated Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura on the initiative to seek the presidency and stressed that Greece was the right choice at it is a world-renowned destination and an active member with a long-standing presence in the Executive Committee of the Organization.
