Clean Bandit and Marina And The Diamonds have performed live their new single and final version of “Disconnect” live at Glastonbury Festival 2017 on 23/6/2017. The single had been released the same day by Warner.
The song was first played at the 2015 Coachella Festival.
Ever since, fans have begged the band to release the track – with some of their messages “bordering on abuse”.
“We got such creative abuse,” they told the BBC. “Very inventive and new swearing terms“.
The band released the song on Friday afternoon, and Marina joined the band on stage to perform it during Clean Bandit’s Glastonbury set on the John Peel stage.

As Clean Bandit explained on Twitter, they actually performed the song with Marina two years ago, but this is the first time fans have heard a finished studio version.
It is infinitely relatable and perfectly complements their unique talents. Marina’s knack for razor-sharp lyrics and misery-pop shines through, while Clean Bandit’s impeccably arranged synths and strings ebb and flow perfectly. Listen to the sublime bop below.
Marina and the Diamonds, really just Marina Diamandis, was born in 1986 to Welsh and Greek parents, although she has often claimed to be from Ancient Greece. After dropping out of four different music courses at four different universities, Marina decided to make her own way in music, and began writing her own unique brand of left-field pop songs under her new stage name.
